This 2-week intensive will offer rigorous dance and movement classes taught by CONTRA-TIEMPO artists and a roster of collaborators and accomplished guest artists from the field. We will train in salsa, house, afro-cuban, hip hop, and more! You will learn these incredible ancestral movement practices, their radical histories, and engage with our Art as Social Action methodology. The program will culminate with a public community sharing that will be co-generated by the participants. Our hybrid 2022 FUTURO Summer Dance Intensive will be held August 8th-19th Monday-Friday 9am-3pm in-person in L.A at Nate Holden Performing Arts Center

Any of the questions can be answered in 1 of 2 ways: written format or video format. If you are submitting a video for any of the questions, it needs to be under 2 minutes long and you must include the link to your video answer in the corresponding section. You may feel comfortable answering one question in written form and another question in video form and that is okay. Just be sure to include the correct video link to the correct question. If you choose to answer all questions in video format you will be including a different video link for each question. Link examples: YouTube link, Vimeo link, dropbox link, or google drive link-- be sure you include the password if a password is required and be sure we are able to open your links.
