¡AZÚCAR! Sabor Session at Helms Bakery

Dance and get down with us at our Sabor Session! Join us at the Helms Bakery Plaza as we move through and embody social dance practices rooted in the African and Afro-Latine Diaspora. These ancestral movement practices were designed and passed down to build resilience, affirm joy, instill hope and to strengthen social and political resistance. From line dancing to comparsa processions from freestyling to Salsa; from cyphering to partnering - our sabor sessions will remind you of your strength, of our complexities as human beings, and your deep connection to others and the world around you. Be ready to move your body and join our movement procession from the plaza into the gallery space to view the beautiful photo gallery of CAŃA that was captured by Farah Sosa. The photos will be up for viewing at Helms Bakery through November 20th.
